Tired of Editing Videos? Try This Instead
Are you sick of editing videos? Spending hours on content that lasts 15 seconds only to get a few likes and no real engagement? Yeah, me too.
Lately I’ve noticed a big uptick in Instagram Carousels. Those posts with up to 20 images or videos. Turns out, there’s a reason: Instagram is actively prioritizing them. Their CEO Adam Mosseri even said it himself—carousels get more reach.
My friends at Drax Social broke it down here and here.
And guess what?
It actually works.
Today I posted a carousel telling the story behind my song “Run It Back.” I used photos and clips from an old trip to South America, added text and music, and that was it. No camera. No editing. Just a story.
The post started popping off—fast.
Even though the song came out 3 years ago, people were discovering it for the first time and loving it. I even sent it directly to a few folks who engaged with it.

The best part?
It only took me about an hour using content I already had.
TL;DR (but actually worth reading):
📸 Always capture content — your future self will thank you
🧠 Tell a story — it’s what keeps people engaged
💡 Drive curiosity & emotion — that’s what makes it resonate
🎧 All music is new to someone — don’t stop sharing your older work
📣 If you stop promoting, people stop listening
🤝 People connect with stories, not just songs
🔁 Quantity > perfection — keep showing up
