Your Music Isn't The Product

If you watched my most recent podcast episode with Oskar Eichler, he has a strong opinion that your music isn't the product, you are the product. I shared a clip of this on my social media pages and it was met with a healthy amount of debate - for good reason.

Artists just want to make art. But they also want to be successful by generating a huge fan base, playing massive venues, and being a household name. Making good music is half the battle, but connecting with people on a human level is really what resonates.

People don’t follow songs, they follow stories. They connect with you: your energy, your voice, your vision.

Look at Taylor Swift: her fans don’t just love her music; they feel like they know her.
Or Post Malone: his vulnerability, humor, and authenticity make people care beyond the music.

The artists who get this? They don’t just grow, they build movements. They build loyalty.

Want deeper fan connection? Start showing them more than your music.

Want help? I'm here for you. Let's chat about a strategy to get you to the top.
